About world of vw

Back in 1997, I created a website dedicated to Volkswagens. I started it basically to learn web design in Lotus Domino ( what I do for a living) and thought, VW's (my passion) would be a great topic to hold my interest in keeping up with the site. I registered the name "VWWorld.com" and over the course of 3 years my site gained a following, with people submitting their stories, articles, artwork and photos. I had a discussion forum, and bookstore, postcards, a for sale area and dealer info.

In December 2000 my daughter was born and I just didn't have the time to keep up with VWWorld anymore. So it became somewhat stagnant, then in 2004 I got a call from one of the owners of the AudiWorld website, they wanted to start a site for VWs and wanted to know if I would be interested in selling the domain. I did.

Since then I realized I missed my site, and my addiction to VW is as strong as ever. Now that my daughter is school age and I've gone back to work I decided it was time to give it another whirl.
To get things started, I've reprinted some of the original articles, but will continue to expand out and bring you new stories and articles. I've expanded the store, and will be bringing back the postcard feature, as well as a section for VW dealer info where you can post your experiences.
My goal for World of VW is to bring you not just techical info, but to bring the personal side of VW owership to you. Those things that only VW owners "get". ;-)
